Grants Manager Position

The Academy for Educational Development (AED) is recruiting for the position of Grants Manager for the “Strengthening Civil Society Monitoring Capacity in Moldova” (SCSMCM) project, a 16-month USAID-funded activity. The emphasis of the program will be to strengthen the monitoring capacity of civil society and mass media to help prevent and deter corruption. Grants Manage will assist in implementing the SCSMCM Grants Program, ensuring that the process for awarding grants is transparent, that grantees meet all standards of grant administration, and that the grants are achieving the goals intended. The Grants Manager will be the direct link between the project and grantees.

Key illustrative functions of the position include:
-Facilitate and ensure the integrity of the grant application and selection process.
-Maintain the grants management standards.
-Provide technical assistance to grantees in meeting AED technical and financial reporting requirements.
-Conduct regular site visits, ensure achievement of expected grantee results, objectives and indicator targets and the receipt of all deliverables.
-Coordinate with the Finance Manager to oversee financial aspects of grants.
-Conduct workshops on grant procedures. Train the grantees on USAID/AED requirements and reporting procedures.
-Contribute as appropriate to reports to USAID documenting the Grant Program implementation.

Job description: Based in our Bucharest office you will work closely with our Marketing Manager mainly in the online marketing field and will be responsible for managing GameGoods’ online marketing and business development activities in Germany.

This is a great opportunity for you to learn from professionals: our marketing team includes professionals from different countries with background in international marketing, especially online marketing, a field that only now starts to emerge in Romania. These are the people who will train and teach you how to approach different markets and different consumers in different countries.

Together you will focus on planning, initiating, executing, and continuously improving online marketing initiatives ranging from affiliate marketing, search engine optimization and marketing to partnerships with other established brands. You will work closely together with GameGoods’ website development team in order to develop the best possible product to assure market success.

Your profile:
• Advanced German speaker, fluent English as well
• Beginner accepted, if you show the motivation and the dynamism we are looking for
• A background in business or marketing (studies or work experience) is a plus
• You have at least basic knowledge about consumer behaviour, sales schemes, pricing and marketing strategy
• Internet knowledge (e.g. basic knowledge in HTML,tracking technologies etc) is a plus
• You are a very fast learner, eager to prove your skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – German and English
• Team player, high energy levels and enthusiasm
• Interest in computer games and the gaming market is a plus

The Kokkalis Program strives to support individuals committed to invigorating the public sector in Southeastern and East-Central Europe by providing fellowships for study at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Eligible to apply for a 2008 Kokkalis Fellowship are natives of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey who are applying for one of the following degree programs at the Kennedy School of Government: Master in Public Policy (MPP); Master in Public Administration (MPA2); Mid-Career Master in Public Administration (MC/MPA); Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID).

Incepand de astazi, aici vor fi publicate diferite anunturi legate de burse, traininguri si seminarii pentru cei din MD si RO. Sper sa va fie de folos macar unora. Ii incurajez pe alti posesori de asemenea tip de info sa se inregistreze pe blog si sa posteze ei insisi. Good luck!

New Europe College (NEC) anunţă concursul anual pentru bursele de cercetare NEC 2008-2009 pentru universitari/cercetători români din domeniile ştiinţelor umaniste, sociale şi economice.

CONDIŢII DE PARTICIPARE: 1. candidatul trebuie să fie înscris la doctorat sau să aibă titlul de doctor; 2. se va acorda prioritate candidaţilor sub 40 ani; 3. o foarte bună cunoaştere a cel puţin două din limbile străine de circulaţie internaţională.

Prin profilul său, NEC pune accentul asupra dezbaterilor inter- şi trans-disciplinare. Se încurajează proiectele care permit această deschidere, fără a pierde din rigoarea disciplinară.

CONDIŢII ALE BURSEI: Bursa se acordă pentru un an academic (10 luni).Programul bursierilor presupune prezenţa obligatorie în Bucureşti cel puţin o dată pe săptămână, timp de 9 luni. În intervalul de 10 luni, bursierii vor beneficia de un stagiu de cercetare într-unul din marile centre universitare/de cercetare din străinătate. Valoarea bursei lunare (acordată pe durata a 9 luni) este echivalentul în RON a 600 EURO (neimpozabili), la care se adaugă 2.560 EURO pentru stagiul de cercetare. Aici sunt instructiunile de aplicare şi formularul propriu-zis.

Termenul limită de depunere a dosarului completat este 15 ianuarie 2008 (inclusiv).

Acest tip de burse se adreseaza doar cetatenilor romani. Exista un alt tip de burse pentru care ati fi eligibil: Bursele “Petre Tutea”. Dar pentru acest tip de burse nu a fost inca lansata competitia anului academic 2008-2009. Toate informatiile vor fi afisate pe site-ul nostru”.
